Trying something!

During my first camping trip of 2023 I decided to use my tarp as a possible weather fly, not necessarily a rain fly.  My thoughts are that I will not use my rain fly during warmer/hot temperatures but use the tarp to keep dew and debris off of the tent while making the tent much more airy.

I will still need the rain fly during certain rainy conditions due to the size of the tent in relation to the tarp coverage.  Another possible reason for the tarp is it could make setting up the tent easier in raining conditions by setting up the tarp first, which can be done with one person with a little practice.  I can raise the tarp by adding one or two of the pole sections as needed.  Happy camping!
