Thomas Street Tavern

I was meeting up with some folks to do a afternoon ride and the meeting spot was the Thomas Street Tavern. I have been here before but only to get a beer. I arrived a bit early so I could get some lunch and try out their food.

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and fries. It was actually very good. I love the fries. They put some kind of seasoning on them AND they leave the skins which makes them delicious. Also the beer is only $2 as well. Another bonus.

I am not a big fan of the location but that is progress. This area is getting more and more congested but that is fine. I was able to park with no issue but then again, I have a motorcycle and can park anywhere (even the sidewalk).

When I first arrived, I was actually surprised to see so many folks at the bar. They opened at 11 and I was there at 11:25. It is a Saturday and that means college football so that may explain it.

Overall I really do like this place. Great vibe, great atmosphere, good food, and great beer prices. If you are in the area, give it try.
