Thirsty Beaver

Thirsty Beaver
The Thirsty Beave bar.

We have been wanting to head over to the Thirsty Beaver for a while now. This past Sunday, the weather was nice and we decided to make a trek over and see what this place was like.

What a gem. Parking is tight. If you do not have a motorcycle, parking is tight. There is a small lot next door (you have to pay) and you can park across the street, but basically, parking is hard to find. Besides that, the pub is great.

This is a one of the few dive bars left in Charlotte. As you can see in the pictures, this bar is completely surrounded by apartments. I am so happy that the owners did not sell out. This small bar woudl not sell out. More power to them.

Limited parking

When we first drove up, there were not a lot of folks there. You can see we were the only motorcycles there at 3 in the afternoon. It was not crowded and we were able to chat with the folks that were there. They did warn us that in a short bit, many folks would arrive.

They were right. In about an hours, quite a number of motorcycles arrived. Great group of guys. But that was not it...many folks began to arrive. By 5, it was hard to get to the bathroom. Even with all the people, we stayed outside and chatted with the locals. Even the bathrooms have character.

Something to keep your attention in the toilet

This is a GREAT motorcycle bar and definitely on our list to revisit. We had a great time meeting the folks and look forward to coming back soon.
