ROCKBROS Side Tool Bag

ROCKBROS Triangle Side Bag

When I go my new Tiger 1200 Explorer, my Hepco & Becker tank bags would no longer fit on the engine guard correctly. I could probably make them fit but after inspecting one of my bags, I decided to see if I can find something else (one of my bags has a huge tear where it hangs onto the engine bar - too many drops I guess).

After a lot of searching, I came across the ROCKBROS Motorcycle Tool Bag (this site is mainly for bicycles but does have a section for motorcycle bags). I liked the design and took the measurements from my bike and compared them to the measurements for the bags. They should fit so I went ahead and ordered them.

There is a right and left bag and they only fit one way. It is a tight close fit but sits in that area nicely.

They stick out a bit from the engine guard but that is by design (you need access to the zipper). The four Velcro points ensure a tight fit so it will not wiggle loose and fall off. These are considered tool bags and are not nearly as large as my previous bags BUT they are able to store all my tire repair gear, air compressor, Leatherman, etc. Since I could not install my Givi Toolbox that mounted behind one of the side panniers (not enough space), storage areas for this type gear is very important to me.

These bags do have hard shell and are water resistant (I have gotten them wet and they stayed dry but it was not a constant downpour of water). They are EXTREMELY simple to install and do have some reflective qualities as well (the logo). They do look as if they were part of the bike. I do not know how big they are in liters. If I were to guess, about 1.5-1.75 liters.

I do like the bags. They are out of sight, out of mind and have not gotten in the way (yet). If you want a little additional storage, these may be a good fit.
