PROBAR Meal
List of the PROBAR meals that we have personally tried (and rated)! Well, the reviews below are from Scot unless indicated that Kirk reviewed it.
All these bars are great. They are full of nuts and berries and tons of nutritious ingredients. They are also packed with protein. We will rate on how well we liked the taste and also on how well they will travel (heat/cold/bouncing around). We take off one start if it contains ingredients that may not handle the heat very well (think chocolate as it will get soft). We take off one star if the bar is very sweet. We take one start if we did not like the taste.
Wholeberry Blast
This was a GREAT bar. Tastes like fruit. Should be great in the heat as there is no chocolate.
Superberry and Greens
Loved this bar. From the name, was afraid it would taste like turnip greens or something. Actually, it gives it a unique flavor to make the taste distinctly different from the Wholeberry Blast bar. Should travel well.
Original Trail Mix
This bar was very good. It still had some chocolate (as most trail mixes do) but it was not that noticeable. Not sure how this would handle the warmer temperatures since it contains chocolate.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
I love peanut butter but I really did not like this as much as I thought I would. It was ok. This would not travel well.
Banana Nut Bread
This bar is a bit sweet but it does taste like you are eating banana bread with nuts. I did not see any reason this bar would not travel well. I really liked it.
S'Mores
This one is way too sweet and it has this drizzle on top. Not sure how this would handle the warmer temperatures since it contains chocolate.
Chocolate Coconut
Taste was excellent but a bit sweet. We did enjoy the flavor. Not sure how this would handle the warmer temperatures since it contains chocolate.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
Taste was excellent but a bit sweet. We did enjoy the flavor. Not sure how this would handle the warmer temperatures since it contains chocolate.
