Klim Carlsbad Pants
Ok, this is going to sound like a repeat review of the Klim jacket. Why? Because I have the exact same views for the pants as I did for the jacket. Klim is expensive and these pants is one of their high end ones. Before we get started, Klim is noted for safety and that is our #1 priority and concern. Feel free to read all stats, construction, etc about these pants on the Klim website.
So what do I love about these pants? Safety and comfort. I will admit, these are a bit heavy (like the jacket). They have two large front pockets with zippers which are very convenient. I use one for my wallet and the other for my keys.
Ventilation is good as well. Wore these all summer long. My legs never got that sweaty considering they are waterproof. While riding, my legs never got hot (or cold). I ride in shorts. Just like the jacket, riding in 57 degree weather, I did not need to close any vents and my legs were toasty warm.
There is not much else that I can really say other than I like them. If I had to purchase a new set of riding pants, I would definitely purchase these again. For summer, if I decide to get the Induction jacket, I may opt for the Induction pants (but if I do, I will also have to purchase a rain suit).
Other than the price, I really do not have any negative things to say about the pants. I this particular instance, you get what you pay for.
