Hide-A-Way Tavern
We had another day of wonderful weather and came across the Hide-A-Way Tavern in our travels. This place does not serve any food. They do have a few snacks but that is all. Also, there is NO liquor. It is mainly beer and wine.
On the sign it says Members Only. That is not true. During Covid, that restriction got lifted (but any guest would have been warmly welcomed anyway). We walked in and what a great dive bar. It is dark...It is old...but the bartender was VERY friendly. They had your typical selection (and PBR) of brands.
We stayed for about an hour and chatted with the bartender and also the few patrons that were there that early in the day. They also have pool tables but we did not play.
What a great dive bar in Rockingham.
Overall this was a great find and if I am every in the neighborhood, I will stop again.
