Fix a flat!

First puncture!
All pluged up!

I walked by my bike and noticed that I had an aluminum nail in my new'ish rear tire.  There is no telling when or where the puncture occurred and there was no indication of low tire pressure by the TPMS.  The bike is in a garage and not in the hot sandy back roads of Panama City so I decided that this was the perfect time to do my first puncture repair on my Tiger.  I had a flat on my first bike which was a Royal Enfield Himalayan and it was a tubed tire, the repair was done in a garage as well but still took over two hours.  The Tiger is a tubeless set up so it makes for a much easier repair.

Done!

I followed the simple directions for the Stop & Go Tire Plugger and within twenty minutes the repair was done!  I aired up the tire to 50psi which maxed out the Stop & Go Mini-Air Compressor but it only took less then 5 minutes.  The specs call for 42psi when cold but I knew that I would lose some air as I unscrewed the compressor from the valve stem.

The culprit!

You can see in the photo that the aluminum nail compared to my tire gauge was quite long and would've caused a problem at some point.  Over all the repair was very simple, quick and definitely a lot easier than a tubed tire!  The Stop & Go repair kit and the Stop & Go air compressor are both quite small and worked flawlessly.  I would highly recommend both.  I will be getting my 12,000 mile service done on my bike when I return from PCB and will have the tire properly repaired, if needed, at that time.
