Finally a Sunny Day

Last Sunday we finally were able to get out and take a nice long ride. The entire week, all it did was rain. Every day for 5 straight days. Everytime it looked like it may let up, it would start up again. Cabin fever was starting to set it.

Since the day was going to be so nice, we started early and headed out to do a loop that we created near the Uwharrie National Forest. The ride is about 40% gravel but even the paved roads are a nice ride as well.

We have ridden these roads before but not for a while. We did come across an older cemetery. We assume it is a family plot but there were a number of markers (many illegible) but we did find some from the mid 1800's.

After looking around a bit, we got back on the bikes and completed the ride. We opted to each lunch at the Bigfoot Bar and Grill.
