Blue Parrot Oceanfront Café

While out on a ride with some locals riders that my brother new, we headed out to St. George Island (you can read more about this ride that I did here). As usual, this ride was fantastic...especially the bridge heading over to St. George Island.

Once on the island, I immediately noticed that there were a TON of people here. I just did this same ride the weekend before and it was like a ghost town. Come to find out, some food and beer festival was going on. We headed over to the Blue Parrot and we were lucky to find a parking spot (the lot is small and the lot across the street was slammed due to the festival). We parked and headed for the back bar.

This place has a fantastic location. It is directly on the beach. This is both a bar and restaurant so we opted to sit at the rear bar. Check out the view from this bar via their Beach Cam. We were sitting right next to the beach. I did not eat any food there so I cannot comment on that but the drinks were priced ok. Not a rip off but not a great deal either. I was not complaining since the view is fantastic.

If you do visit St. George, check this place out. I am sure there are others like it but due to the festival, getting around was quite a struggle. We stayed for over an hour then opted to head back to land for some lunch.
