601 Burgers & Brews

We decided to take a long ride up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in order to find a bit cooler weather (and we did). Did a real nice route that circled around Meadows of Dan, VA. Great ride but we did hit a huge rain burst while in the mountains. We suited up but it started getting so hard, we had to find a place to pull in.

Luckily we found a consignment shop on Highway 58. We pulled under their awning (on their sidewalk) and got out of the rain. We talked with the owner and finally the rain cleared. We headed back out and ran into quite a number of other riders who found shelter from the rain (any building with an overhang).

On our way home, we decided to give the 601 Bugers & Brews a try. Great food (all homemade - even the sides). Great beer prices as well. So if you are in the neighborhood and are hungry, give this one a try.
